- 1 cup buttermilk

- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Drain pickles and pat dry with paper towels.
- Marinate pickles in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Remove pickles from buttermilk; let excess drip off before coating in the dry mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry coated pickles in batches until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side). Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
