Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Drain pickles and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Marinate pickles in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove pickles from buttermilk; let excess drip off before coating in the dry mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry coated pickles in batches until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes per side). Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
