  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (warmed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Warm the milk in a small saucepan; stir in yeast and granulated sugar. Let it sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, pumpkin puree, both sugars, salt, egg, and the yeast mixture. Mix until dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth (about 5 minutes).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over it.
  6. Roll tightly from one edge to form a log and slice into twelve equal pieces.
  7. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for about 30 minutes before baking for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. For icing, whisk powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
