  • 4 medium Russet potatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt (for seasoning)
  • 2 tbsp butter (optional)
  • Toppings: cheese, sour cream, chives (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Scrub the Russet potatoes under running water and dry them. Poke several holes in each potato with a fork.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot and place a steamer rack inside.
  3. Sprinkle salt over the potatoes and place them on the steamer rack.
  4. Close the lid and set to manual mode at high pressure for 12-15 minutes based on potato size.
  5. Once done, let the pot naturally release pressure for 5 minutes before performing a quick release.
  6. Carefully remove the potatoes, slice them open, add butter and desired toppings, then serve.
