Description

Cheesy Steak & Rice is a mouthwatering comfort dish that combines tender steak, fluffy rice, and gooey cheese for a hearty meal everyone will love. Perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights, this recipe is easy to make and utterly satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced (mixed colors)
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Steak: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak and sear each side for 4-5 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Add Rice: Stir in uncooked rice and beef broth. Bring to a gentle boil, then cover and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice absorbs broth.
  4. Mix in Cheese: Remove from heat and sprinkle cheese on top. Cover until melted (3-5 minutes).
  5. Slice & Serve: Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve over cheesy rice mixture.
